Jointing Technologies are a leading specialist power cable and accessories distributor operating in the electricity sector throughout the UK. They have locations in Woking, Bristol, Hove and a purpose built distribution centre in the Midlands. Due to the growing product range and cost pressures from the market they require experienced sourcing experts.

Solution
Pro Outsourcing have worked within the electrical industry for many years at organisations like Prysmian cables and Draka cables. We reviewed all aspects of the project to create a strategic plan on the current and future product ranges to compliment the business offering and assist growth. This meant reviewing the current supplier base, consolidation, sourcing additional items and auditing new manufacturers to provide the best value solution.

Result
Using our knowledge of the industry we were able to significantly reduce the complexity of the supplychain by consolidating existing product supply. We also sourced new low cost manufacturers in China & Indiaat very competitive prices ensuring they meet industry specification and hold the correct certifications. This delivered cost reductions between 15% and 22% on the product ranges reviewed. Also highlighted other areas of savings in stock levels, logistics & courier services.
