Procurement training built on delivery, not theory
Practical training for buyers, managers and stakeholders, tailored to your sector and team. We teach what actually works in procurement, including where the textbook approach falls apart.
What is procurement training?
Procurement training is practical instruction that builds the skills a team needs to buy well, covering sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, governance and compliance. Good procurement training is grounded in real delivery experience and tailored to the organisation, so people can apply it immediately.
There is no shortage of procurement courses. The problem is most of them teach process in the abstract, with case studies from companies that look nothing like yours. People come back with a certificate and a folder, and very little changes in how they actually buy. Training only works when it connects to the real categories, suppliers and pressures the team deals with every week.
Our procurement training is delivered by people who have run procurement, not just taught it. We tailor it to your sector, your systems and the work your team does, covering everything from negotiation and supplier management to procurement governance and Procurement Act 2023 awareness. The aim is skills people use the next day.
Why most procurement training does not stick
Generic training fails for a simple reason. It is not about your organisation. A buyer learns a sourcing model built around a category they never touch, practises a negotiation scenario that bears no relation to their suppliers, and sits through governance content that does not match their actual approval process. The content might be sound, but the transfer into the day job is weak, so behaviour does not change. The other gap is who delivers it. Training led by someone who has only ever taught procurement misses the practical reality, the bit where the textbook says one thing and the supplier, the budget holder or the system says another. Teams can tell the difference, and they switch off when the trainer has clearly never done the job.
What good training changes
Procurement training is an investment in capability. Done properly, it pays back in better buying, more consistent practice and a team that needs less hand-holding.
Better buying
Sharper sourcing and negotiation skills that translate directly into better deals and stronger supplier outcomes.
Consistent practice
A team that follows the same sound approach, so quality and compliance do not depend on who happens to be buying.
Less reliance on you
Capable buyers and confident stakeholders mean fewer issues escalating and more good decisions made first time.

Training from people who have done the job
The best procurement training comes from someone who has sat in the buyer’s seat, run the negotiation and managed the supplier when it went wrong. We have. That is why our training lands with teams, because the examples are real and the advice survives contact with reality.
