Melin Tregwynt

Situation
Melin Tregwynt is a woollen mill in the hamlet of Tregwynt in the parish of Granston, Pembrokeshire, Wales. A mill has stood on this site since 1819 taking fleeces from the sheep farms of the area, carding and spinning them into woollen yarn and then weaving the yarn into cloth blankets. As the business grows in turnover and complexity with ever more dependence on e-commerce integration, they required a full ICT and business process flow audit.

Solution
Pro Outsourcing were able to provide a fully funded work package via European Regional Development fund to build a robust plan and improve confidence in ICT suitability and resilience to assist the business improve effeciency and increase its turnover. Highlighting key areas, selecting new vendors for service & supply, request for quotations, supplier selection and negotiation.

Result
After an extensive review of the ICT infrastucture, hardware, software, support, and telephone systems where all considered which significantly changed their thinking about their ICT to greatly enhance their business and be more cost effective than current provision. New IT support where brought on board to re-configure the outdated hardware, add new cloud visibility and install new VOIP telephone system at 50% less cost.
