You will have focused your efforts on ensuring your key strategic suppliers have contracts in place and will be have developed long-term relationships with them.
What about all the other suppliers that either you have low control over or supply items that are perceived as non-critical?
By looking at your spend with each supplier along with the items that they deliver to you, you may find that the suppliers that you thought were of less strategic importance are in fact the ones that you need to have contracts in place with. This might be due to the items that you buy (scarcity of natural resources used in their production) or you are able to source more items from them to leverage your full purchasing power.
Pro-Outsourcing are able to perform this task, working with you with MCIPS qualified staff to understand your spend and product portfolio to categorise your suppliers and help put in place the appropriate relationship for each of them.
